Enjoy the start of this one, guys. I have to run to Lowes to get a water filter for the fridge. The ice maker has quit working and the light is on for the water filter. I doubt that's going to fix it, but we need the water filter anyway, so that will be step two. I already took it out and cleaned all the frosted ice off the durned thing. Me fixing the fridge is like handing your iPad through the bars in the monkey cage and hoping for a good result. It could happen, but I'm more likely to break something than to save a repair bill...That's just how it is. I wasn't born with a mechanical mind... I have wrestled with a few ice-maker problems....one common one is an interruption in the flow of water to the freezing tray....the hose emptying into the tray can freeze into an ice block...use Ruthies hair dryer to melt that....there is a solenoid on the bottom of the frig that opens to let water flow into the hose leading to the tray...if the tray is empty, it should signal the solenoid to open...loosen the hose after the solenoid and you should have water flow....I have had to replace solenoids, so they do go bad...you are much smarter than the ice-maker...you will figure it out....  |

Happ brushes off a terrible second inning and a Gleyber error last inning to get through the fifth. He's a professional on the mound and challenges hitters, no nibbling. And, the Pinstripes seem to fit him well.
