I had an awful nightmare last night: The Yankees lost their next 12-games and Tampa Bay won 12-straight; knocking US out of the Play-Offs.
I have to Stop drinking Mescal Shots before going to sleep...

I had an awful nightmare last night: The Yankees lost their next 12-games and Tampa Bay won 12-straight; knocking US out of the Play-Offs. I have to Stop drinking Mescal Shots before going to sleep... First off theres 13 games left not 12. On top of that, the rays would need to finish 8 games better than the yankees over the last 13 meaning the yankees only need to finish 4-9 or better to clinch. While the rays would have to finish 12-1 (Rays have tie breaker unless Yankees win 3 of 4 in Tampa) The Yankees have been playing "bad" for their standards, but to think they will finish 4-9 is ridicolous and even if they did the rays would have to basically go undefeated. |

Baseball is a weird game and weird things happen. We could lose our next 6 while Tampa wins their next 6. At that point all of sudden we need to finish 4-3 while Tampa goes 6-1. Take nothing for granted...We tend to think of baseball in the big picture, I think...but it's really 162 separate events that tend to run in micro-streaks more often than not...Stated a bit more traditionally, It ain't over 'til it's over... |

Strange, the MLB Ex Innings TV schedule is showing today's game stating in the afternoon. Is that correct? Yes. But it's been postponed to 7pm because of the weather. |

Voit is 2 for his last 20, but he's still taking his walks. Not sure if that's it. Strange about Voit and Bird...they both have reverse splits. Voit has mashed right-handed pitching, and Bird hits better against lefties. Well, Walker is 2 for his last 20, so now it's very confusing. |
