Should have had Romine out there! Sanchez as DH! (No, I'm just kidding [img alt=" " class="smile" src="//storage.proboards.com/6828121/images/udcwFqPimnXDtjoTmoVL.gif"] ) Actually, it's not a bad idea. It really isn't the DH has been a black hole and romine is a better defender.

Those are the two most BS games I have ever seen. The astros are up 2-0 on yankee base running blunders, astros outfielder perfect throws, and a ridicolous strike zone. Yet I'm sure the media will say the yankees were "dominated". Nothing says dominated like losing a pair of 2-1 games. The Yanks wasted a lof of good pitching in these two games, but I think they still have a decent chance since the next three are in Yankee Stadium.

That was a great play by Judge and DiDi, all for nothing. Hopefully the team starts hitting at the Stadium. They probably will, but then so will the Astros. Yankees got the pitching they wanted. The difference thus far has been exactly 5'6". It seems very hard to hit a HR here. Alot of those long fly balls are HR in yankee stadium.

But for sure they weren't dominated other perhaps than their lineup being dominated by Houston's starters and I have to credit Houston for that. These were two really close exciting games. I think. Houston is the better team but we have played them close. I think it is not unrealistic for us to take 2 or 3 in NY.

Altuve, listed as 5'6", has been what has separated winning and losing in both games.

The Yankees just aren't making a lot of hard contact, which isn't surprsing considering the pitchers they are facing.

Did anyone hear what was the issue with Severino?

Altuve, listed as 5'6", has been what has separated winning and losing in both games. He's a great player but that was terrible base running, unless he knew Sanchez would drop the ball.

Well, I consider it an aggressive and somewhat calculated gamble. If he's out, Correa is at second and you still need a single to score. If he holds at third, then it's first and third, and a double play is a possibility.

Actually, it's not a bad idea. It really isn't the DH has been a black hole and romine is a better defender. I don't believe Romine is a better defensive catcher than Sanchez and he's almost an automatic out even in a regular season game, let alone the playoffs. He's better at blocking balls in the dirt. He doesn't have a stronger arm and isn't better at hitting. He has a reputation of being a great defensive catcher because that's what people say about every catcher that can't hit. It is an overly reactive panic idea just borne of the frustrating of a tough loss. If Girardi starters with moves like that the season is over. Play your best and let them play. By the way, Headley just missed a HR today.

I was really surprised they sent him. 2nd and third would have been a great situation for them there particularly after 2 really hard hit balls off of Chapman who wasn't fooling anyone. Wasn't as weird a decisions as Gardner going for 3rd but still strange. Unfortunately it worked.

I get why everyone is frustrated but if their best players don't hit and field and pitch they lose. There's no alternative plan where a borderline major leaguer becomes their savior whether that's Romine or Torreyes.

It would have been first and third, as soon as the baserunner at first reads Altuve making the turn at third then he releases to second.
