[img class="smile" alt=" " src="//storage.proboards.com/6828121/images/udcwFqPimnXDtjoTmoVL.gif"] Well that is certainly the first time I've ever been accused of being smart. And do you mean to say you guys haven't filled out your AFL All-Star ballots?
Vote for Estrada! He got shot in the hip for God's sake!

Okay, I did my part. Voted for Estrada the maximum allowed five times. Come on, we can push him over the top.
I voted for Arquimedes Gamboa in the East (but only once) because I like his name. Although the other two candidates are named Jazz and Nico, so it was a tough decision.

The web site actually makes you register for this voting. They want to make sure that it is a completely valid and above-board process, Chi. Can't blame them for the stringent requirements.

Yeah, that's the spirit. I did something like that about 20 years ago on a website where they wanted you to vote for your favorite cereal box mascot. I wanted the guy on the Cream of Wheat box to win. When I first found the site, he wasn't even in the Top 50, getting slaughtered by the likes of Tony the Tiger and Count Chocula and the trio of Snap, Crackle and Pop. I got him into first place and got an e-mail from the site administrator asking me if this was some kind of fraternity stunt. Made my day.

I admire your commitment to cereal box mascots! That is hilarious stuff, Pipps. It’s made even more so when you stop to realize that Count Dracula debuted in 1971 and impressions you have given us indicate that you “debuted” sometime in the 1940’s, you were a fully mature adult at the time of that contest. I’m now recalling FrankenBerry and BooBerry. BooBerry was voiced by a Peter Lorre impersonator, a rather weird effect as I recall. Later entries in the Monster Cereal line were Fruit Brute and ... was it Yummy Mummy? If not it had Yummy Mummy in the name somewhere. Now I have to go look this crap up... I have no recollection of the Frosted Mini Wheats guy...

Ah, Pipps. Here I thought I had outed you on the cereal mascot vote only to reread your post and see you wrote your own confession that it was about 20 years ago...
I can’t imagine the panic on that site when Tony the Tiger started going down. It must have been a bit like the night Ali lost to Leon Spinks, with everyone chanting Tony! Tony! instead of Ali! Ali!... I almost cried that night...for Ali, not Tony, by the way...
It was so illogical for the white guy from Cecil County, MD., a place where many people still called Ali “Clay” and recoiled at the changes in name and religion, but I loved the man and wanted him to win his fights and be the Champ forever.
How in the world does this site flip so easily from baseball to boxing, from Estrada to Ali with Monster Cereals used as the hingepoint? I don’t have the answer for that, but I’m glad I didn’t have anything to do with it... (:
