for all the hard wok toe has put in he deserves a start in the postseason. maybe spell castro or frazier for a game and make them dh? given how poor our dh have been i dont think it would hurt Nobody DESERVES anything in life. If anybody "deserves" anything, it's us the Yankee fans... we deserve The Yankees putting the best team capable of winning on the field... and that team does not include Torreyes in the starting lineup. Yes, he was productive when players went down this year.. but those players are healthy now, so he resumes his role on the bench... where he's much more productive than the starting lineup... Granted our DH position has sucked this post season... inserting Torreyes there would just be a panic move.. Back to the "deserves" thing... maybe change the word "deserves" to "earned" and you get an even worse statement.. Torreyes didn't earn a start in the post season... and NO baseball player deserves anything.. .they have to EARN it. |

In the movie fever pitch Jimmy Fallon and a couple guys are in a restaurant the same night just after the Red Sox had lost 19-8 in game 3 of the 2004 Alcs. They see Johnny Damon and a couple other players in the restaurant eating and joking while jimmy Fallon and the guys are borderline suicidal. They then realize they are too obsessed with the team and if the players aren’t upset over the loss why should they be taking the game so seriously. Judge is horrific. Watching his post-season AB's makes me ill. He is so bad I wish we could sub in Clint Frazier for him.

Just one of these games I would like to see them be aggressive and swing at the first pitches of their at bats. Houston almost always throws a strike first to get ahead.
