lol, I'm not sure what the point of the meeting is. $$$ To kiss Machado good bye as the Phillies ante up for his nutty payday?...

I’d put up with a couple of nightmares and a bit of stress if it led to $180M over an eight year period...Really. I mean it. I would... (:

Looks like the Lance Lynn spin cycle is on deck. Wonder how that hype will play out to people who know better?

Until last season, Lynn was an effective pitcher. In fact, he wasn’t all that bad once the Yankees rescued him from Minnesota Hell. If I had my druthers, we could do better, but if he’s all we get, and if Severino, Tanaka and the “Big Maple”, James Paxton from Seattle do their jobs... leaving Lynn to be an innings eater at the back end along with CC and our kiddie corps...well...okay...
Frankly, Severino, Tanaka, and Paxton all make me nervous...I’m not sure what it is about Frankly that concerns me, but the other three...I have my reasons...

[twitter url="https://twitter.com/BryanHoch/status Well, that’s that, I suppose. One thing I will say in agreement with Cashman is that Harper would not be a good fit in LF in Yankee Stadium. He’s not that good in the field to cover that much ground. And I’d also agree that first base would be an experiment. Unless we’re doing something about the dead wood in the OF, there is no room for Harper. What a shame if Ellsbury and/or Frazier are blocking the Yankees from owning that bat. Truth is, it’s really the money..,and sub-par defense that Harper would bring to the table...Along with perhaps... his personality not appearing to be a fit... Lots of winter left...Mord fish in the sea... I have a feeling Gardner is going to work his ass off this winter. Whether or not it will help him revive his bat, I don’t know.,, but he’s a determined little fart... <Best shape of his career alert>..,

There is zero chance the Yankees decision to pass on Harper is because of Gardner or Frazier. None at all.

Also, maybe they don’t want to pay $400,000,000 to a guy who can’t play the field. But what he said is more polite.

On the Machado front, Cashman is saying that the Yankees are still looking for infield help... He plays it so coy...
