Overrated? Has anyone ever said anything good about it? He’s very much below average at the position. No one would ever confuse Altuve with a good defender. The only reason he stacks up so well against Judge in the MVP race is that 2B is much more valuable of a defensive position than RF, so you can make an argument that a below average 2B is still more valuable than a plus plus RF. Seems like I'm always hearing how he's so well rounded... great hitting, defense, baserunning... one of the best players in the league... Kinda like how they promoted the O.G. Midget on the Red Sox... Seems like ESPN et al LOVES over rated midget 2nd basemen... I'm kinda confused? Were you being sarcastic that no one said anything good about Midget#2's defense? It really seems like the talking heads are always talking up EVERYTHING about this guy.. No, I wasn’t being sarcastic. The big knock against Altuve has always been his defense. Outside of a clueless idiot like Buck, I’ve never heard that part of his game talked up. It’s generally used against him like SO’s are against Judge. Pedroia is far superior defensively to Altuve.

I think it's funny how "dangerous" Houstons lineup is.. outside of Altuve none of them are hitting above 300 against the Yankees.. actually, I just checked and after todays game Altuve is down to .294... Correa is at .222 and Gurriel is at .250... everyone else is UNDER .200!!! Don't get cocky yet. I remember warning fans in 2004, when the Yankees were up 3-0 over the Red Sox. Never doubt Yogi Berra: "It ain't over till it's over." 3-0 is completely different than 3-2. Especially when a hill had to be climbed to get to that 3-2. It's understandable in a 3-0 scenario a team could get cocky, but a team that was down 3-2 that needed to dig itself out a hole to get there is definitely not taking anything for granted.

I'm super pumped and I know we're in a good position. But I know it's still going to be tough to go and win one game in Houston. I know the team won't get cocky though! I hope they can do the same thing to Verlander that they did to Koo-chel. Just one win away from the World Series! Oh, soooo close! You can do this!!!

You sure? I've been starting a lot of threads, maybe I should let someone else start one? Don't mess with whats working lol. The standings are all screwed up anyway because there are game threads here and there so I have no idea who should count in the standings and who shouldn't.

I wasn't referring to the team, I was talking about Sierchio. See where it says "Don't get cocky" and "I remember warning fans"? Did you think I had warned the New York Yankees' team in 2004 or that I am now posting to the current team/players?
