I'd stick Headley, he's had some decent AB's. Definitely Headley. Headley is def heating up now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So let's talk strategy against Koo-chel. Is it better to hit first pitch swinging because he likes to drop in the early strikes? Or should we be more patient and try to work counts in order to try to raise his number of pitches and get into their bullpen?

Koo-chel loves throwing first pitch strikes and sometimes it'll be the best pitch to hit of the at-bat.

Guys that are fine behind in the count and can drive a first pitch fastball shouldn’t let one go by if it isn’t the best pitch they are going to see. If Gardner sees a first pitch fastball I am fine with him starting the game by putting one in the RF seats.

Depending on how the plate umpire calls the game, I would love to see long Yankee ABs, even at the expense of calculated risks, at least in the early going. Wear. His. Butt. Out.

Looks like he is usually done right around 95-100 pitches...hes not the horse that Verlander is. Force one long inning and we will get into that vulnerable bullpen early.

What really killed us in the first game against Koo-koo, er Keuchel was that the plate ump was giving him a very wide zone, especially down. He was getting a lot of early strikes that were just off the plate...It seemed that once he recognized that, he took more and more advantage of it and our guys began to swing at those pitches because they were going to get called strikes anyway...So...yeah...if there are some first pitch-get-it-in-there pitches, hit them...but if the ump is generous it's a long night against Keuchel because he won't throw strikes unless he has to...
