I know we still have to beat the Astros but how wonderful would it be to have a Tanaka/Darvish Japanese duel in the World Series?

Are there any stats that show how Verlander performs after long outings? (baseball outings, that is, not, you know, Upton outings. Hummina.) He went something like 120 pitches, and I would think that there would be some lingering fatigue.

Eduardo Perez alluded to the fact that he’s much less effective following high pitch outings. Expects him to go 6. Don’t have a clue as to how he arrived at that opinion. |

Looks to me like he pitched relatively well this year in starts after one in which he threw 115+ pitches. Hes a guy who has averaged 109 pitches per start in his career...the most among starters over the last decade. |

This will be the 4th time since 2014 starting after throwing that many pitches and his ERA in the previous 3 starts is over 6 |
