Thanks kaybli for starting this site. The season was great while it lasted. One reason I didn't want to see the season end was I was having so much fun here.

24 straight curveballs to end it. A day later I still don't understand why they were swinging at so many of them out of the strike zone. |

It's hard to call any season a good season when you blow a 3-2 lead in the ALCS. Thats because you lack the capability to keep things within reasonable perspective. Since 1985, teams that have gone home down 3-2 in a 7 game playoff series have won 13 out of 27 times...now 14 out of 28. So we had a team who was projected to be a .500 club (even worse according to some) end up winning 91 games and taking the ALCS to 7 games against a 101 win team who had the best offense in baseball. But sure, hard to call that a good season. |

Agreed...I bought a 16 game season ticket package this year with the expectation of seeing the young guys we have all been following for years but with no real expectations for a high degree of success. I thought they had a chance to be better than widely projected but not ALCS Game 7 good. This is how things tend to go for young teams as they rise...Yankees 1995, Cubs 2015, etc. |
