Smoltz is the only person alive that feels like a guy pitched a great game after giving up 7 runs. Morton wasn't terrible in Game 3. He was pitching very well. He got a bit unlucky, I think there was some errors in that bad inning he had, or plays that could have been made and weren't. He gave up 7 ER's in 3.2 innings. That's bad no matter how you look at it.

INEVITABLE.
CC does not have it tonight. Just hope he can make it through this inning and then bring out Gray or Kahnle in the 5th.

It should be noted that no one should be mad at CC. This team had an opportunity to lock this thing up in Game 6 and didn't do it. They had multiple opportunities to score runs and put tons and tons of pressure on Houston and they failed to do it. This series ended last night. Tonight's game was just to see if the Yankees have any magic in them to get the World Series, and they probably do not.

This has to be the last inning for CC. Honestly I would give him the next 3 batters and that's it- you cannot let him pitch to Altuve-Correa-Gurriel again.

Absolute correct decision from Girardi.

We have to pray Kahnle gets out of this with no more runs. If the Astros get a 3-4 run lead here this game is over and we can all turn our attention to winter sports.

THIS IS HOW I WOULD BRIDGE THIS:
5TH, 6TH INNING= KAHNLE 7TH INNING = GREEN 8TH= ROBERTSON 9TH, 10TH (IF NEEDED) = CHAPMAN
If we still have a game after the 10th inning I would go with Sonny Gray.

I WOULD HONESTLY GO CHAPMAN FOR 3 INNINGS IF HIS PITCH COUNT IS OK.

GOOD AB FROM HICKS.
FRAZIER MUST AVOID THE DOUBLE PLAY. GET THAT BALL IN THE AIR AND GET IT DEEP BECAUSE BIRD IS SLOW.
