Really weak AB by Andujar. Bullpen let the team down today.

Voit should have advanced to second on that blooper that got away. He’d have just been stranded there... Besides, he runs slower than I could crawl to second...

Hey, Habitual Bleier is pitching! I have no memory of him being on the Yankees

Ugh...Stanton and Andujar both strikeout...three checked-swing strikes between them.

Oh well, on to the next one. Hopefully doesn't get rained out tomorrow.

Maybe I shouldn’t have reverse jinxed Stanton? Would a double reverse cancel out both jinxes? Two negatives making a positive?

I haven't quit on the game. Just wondering how we are losing to this sorry excuse for a team. That's baseball I guess. They were just saying the same on the postgame. I think the team looks ok so far, but Didi missing definitely effects things.

Even with a team as bad as Baltimore, the Yankees are going to lose four or five games over the course of the season. We just got one out of the way. But I admit it's frustrating when you're sitting there watching it happen.

Maybe I shouldn’t have reverse jinxed Stanton? Would a double reverse cancel out both jinxes? Two negatives making a positive? I don’t know about any of that, but the ‘stache and soul patch make Stanton look a little bat-shit crazy, like a bad guy on a western or a heel wrestler. If I had to pitch to him, I’d just go to the plate, set up a tee and say, excuse me, Mr. Stanton sir. Please don’t swing at this ball until I take my seat in the dugout. I wouldn’t want distract you while you swing, nor be in the way of the ball when you hit it. I hope you enjoy the experience of having hit a home run off of me, and come back often to do so. Here’s a pen if you would like to pre-autograph this collectible piece of baseball history. If you let me know when you’re nearing your next milestone, I’ll see if I can be traded to your scheduled opponent to so I can offer to serve you again...

Inger, actually I was thinking two or three myself, but thought I'd try to appear a little more understanding than I actually am. As far as Cedric "Bam Bam" Mullens, he might in reality be the only guy in this sorry lineup who could conceivably still be with the Orioles in two or three years. I think he has a chance to be a decent player.

Villar is actually a respectable player. A retread for sure, but a former .300 goiter and a former SB champ. He seems an odd fit on this team of fuzzy-cheeked players. He and Chris Davis give the team an odd flavor like an expansion team. The ‘62 Mets, with Rod Kaehnel <sp?> Ed Kranepool, ChooChoo Coleman, But also Tracy Stallard, Jack Fisher, Richie Ashburn, and Marvelous Marv Throneberry. Ah the memories. But the Mets at least had a name manager. Remember what Casey said about Kranepool? “Take that kid over there. He’s twenty. In ten years he could be thirty”. And it’s never occurred to me before this moment, but what the heck IS a Throneberry? If it sticks to you, does it then become a dingleberry? And of course Marv had a brother named Faye, which is not only an unnatural name for a man, but my ex-wife’s name. Somehow this all seems to tie together in a very odd way for me. I feel a bit ill...But I actually did once know a man named Faye...that doesn’t make me feel any better...All of this has something to do with why I’ve never quite gotten around to writing a novel...
