That gives me a headache. Like that lineup from 2013 or whatever it was posted the other day. But that one was from a meaningless September game, if memory serves. They should have Ishikawa throw out the first pitch for this one.
Fortunately the Tigers have a horrific offense. But Zimmerman does bear some resemblance to a big league pitcher, so we may be looking at another low-scoring game. Maybe lots of low-scoring games.
Man it sucks having so much of the anticipation ripped out of the season by the first of April. If this ragtag group can stay within striking distance for a couple of months, it may yet have a happy ending.

Im surprised that they have DJL batting 5th instead of 1st or 2nd...figure bumping Judge/Voit to 3 & 4 helps to lengthen the lineup a little bit. Plus Lemahieu has been a pleasant surprise at the dish thus far (I worried he was all Coors).

Playing Bird every other day isn’t going to get him where he needs to be.

But if it was that dire that he can only play 80 times or else he will break then the guy probably shouldnt be on the roster anyways.

Girardi must have put money on the Royals for that game. Without looking it up, I would not have thought that Romine was seeing that much action as far back as 2013 -- he got into 60 games that year -- and debuted briefly in 2011. He was actually a teammate of AJ Burnett and Bartolo Colon, not to mention the sainted Mo. Another thing I noticed in looking that up -- Joba Chamberlin is only 33 years old. He seems like ancient history.

Following in the footsteps of Bronson Sardinha. From the Kevin Thompson Era. I remember Jwild and I were both strong on Kevin Thompson. I guess that's why no major league clubs have called me for advice.

Sardinha was disappointing...first round draft pick.
