Dear Aroldis:
Please do DO NOT rely on your fielders tonight... Find that 103 or so tonight and burn those bats off...

Better than a bat out of his crack... That’s cleft to you, kind sir. Have I not educated you at all tonight?... I rarely use that word...Cleft makes me think of palate, which makes me think of food, which makes me hungry, which sends me to the kitchen, which makes me think of shears, which makes me think of the one and only Billy Shears and Sargeant Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band, then the song is in my head all night, keeping me awake. So, thanks for disturbing my sleep tonight, Inger. Education...I think not.

I get the feeling the slider wasn’t working in the bullpen...and he’s reluctant to use it tonight...

So, thanks for disturbing my sleep tonight, Inger. Education...I think not. Rizzuto's version of "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie..." Well, cleft makes me think of the old TV show “My Three Sons”. Between Fred MacMurray and those kids they had the market cornered out side of Kirk Douglas. Camel Toe of the face was quite big back then...I remember one poor unfortunate fellow that used to shop in the hardware store I worked in that had such a huge cleft chin that he was referred to as “Mr. Nutface” by some of the crueler boys that worked there... On the harsher side of things, my eldest brother was born with a cleft palate along with a severe mental deficit. I’ve noticed just the tiniest separatation of my own palate and realize how close I, and perhaps all of us come to tragedy during development in the womb. Of course my son was born with Spina Bifida. Never take your condition for granted. We’re fortunate to get delivered in a viable situation... I suspect my mother smoked during all nine of her (known by me) pregnancies, and caught my ex-wife smoking when she was pregnant (sneaky, self-indulgent thing to do by then, she knew better and promised not to). Thanks for this bright and cheery post-game talk, inger... Any time, fellers... Cleft. The word of the day...Crack. Stay away from it...It stinks...

Red Sox lose again! 2-8 and feeling fine! What does this have to do with the word cleft? Isn’t this the cleft thread? It’s not? Oh. Well then, yes. Red Sox 2-8. Yay!!! Remember when the Yanks roared back from a horrendous start last season? I wonder if the Sox will rebound from this in a similar way?...

I wonder if the Sox will rebound from this in a similar way?... I'm not saying the Sox can't rebound but the Yanks last year were never this bad. They were 5-6, 6-7, and 9-9 at their worst before rattling off a bunch of wins.
