Have yourself a game, Mr. Big Maple! 2 hits in eight shutout innings! Solid dozen K’s, too. The grain in the wood is showing well for this maple tonight...

Gleyber joins the party. John Smoltz is doing the game on the MLB Network, probably bitching about the short porch before Torres even steps on home plate. Tell him to go iron his shirt while still wearing it! OK, Smoltz is even doing the game.

Hey, what a rip-off. This is the ninth inning? I expected four hours of baseball tonight! Are we even going to get three hours? I don’t think so! Let’s let the Red Sox tie it up so we can win it in the bottom of the ninth...
Maybe not...

Let us bow for young Joe Harvey. He’s looking like the real deal to me...
It’s over! Sox look bad...

Much better than Sterling's call. From twitter they're saying his call was "TAUCHMAN the SOCKMAN!" Well, thank you, but that is faint praise. “Doo-Doo woo-woo cha-cha Choo-Choo would be better than most of Sterling’s calls...

I'd have to say, "Tauchman 'em all" is better.

I hope Urshela hits enough to stay in the lineup, because the defense is amazing.

I hope Urshela hits enough to stay in the lineup, because the defense is amazing. As I commented when he was promoted, he has Scott Brosius-type potential. So now for the question. Urshela’s glove, or Andujar’s bat at 3rd? DH may wind up belonging to a combo of Stanton and Sanchez, remember... Embarrassment of riches? Hope so. One thing to keep an eye on, Urshela has never been one to walk very often. His walk rate is WAY up. Small sample or improved approach? It’s rare for a leopard to change his spots, but then again, this could be the last chance for the twice-released Urshela...

Back to my pile of rocks... Are you on some sort of old fashioned prison work release program?
