So who to support in the upcoming series, Boston or Tampa Bay?

So who to support in the upcoming series, Boston or Tampa Bay? Tough call right now. On the one hand a sweep of Boston would be demoralizing and could really bury them nice and early. But on the other hand, the Rays have to start dropping some damn games. Hmmm....

We have a whole season to catch the Rays (not saying it can't be done in like two weeks if we get on a hot streak). Maybe best if the Rays won the series 2-1 instead of the sweep.

I don’t want to see Boston or Tampa get the confidence boost of a sweep. As long as it goes 2-1 either way, I take it...

I still think that ultimately Boston is a bigger obstacle to the Yankees post-season chances than Tampa Bay, so I unhesitatingly hope the Rays sweep them. Boston isn't going to stay this bad for much longer, so let's pin as many losses on them as possible. We should be able to deal with Tampa Bay eventually.
And even if we can't, I'd rather see them succeed than Boston. I couldn't stomach another Red Sox ring this year.
A sentence I could not have imagined making for the vast majority of my life.
