I went to the grocery store with Ruthie. Probably a good choice. It has to be done. We were out of coffee, which I don’t drink. For her, it’s sort of like the essence of life when she first wakes up. Sometimes when I need to get her up early I just start the coffee maker... it’s like the old cartoons where the odor waves waft out of the kitchen and into the bedroom... I'm like Ruthie, I have to have coffee in the morning or I just don't feel right. I'm hooked on the stuff. I always figured that I’m wired enough (weird and wired)...but then again, I usually have a glass of unsweetened tea with my breakfast, and carry a thermos of it with me in the truck when I’m working...

Congrats to Chance Adams for picking up his first MLB win. He pitched better than his box score line, so maybe the Yanks will leave him in the rotation until some of the injured starters come back? I think that's a good idea, Chi. Enough of this Chad Green opener nonsense. Let Chance Adams start the game.

I'm sitting at my breakfast table right now, reading these posts and drinking a cup of coffee.

I think they should. Maybe they have to shuttle him up and down to manage the roster but he’s looked good enough to spot start and not be a cog in this goofy opener strategy instead.

“I’m picking out A thermos for you A green and yellow Thermos for you” Navin Johnson Not an ordinary thermos for you. But the extra best thermos you can buy. With vinyl and stripes. And a cup built right in.

And a cup built right in. Love makes men do such odd things... Steve’s wife back then, Bernadette Peters, was one of those singers that was constantly on all the variety shows singing despite rather marginal singing talent. There were several of them. Off hand I’m also thinking of Paul Williams...Lou Rawls, who was marginally better... It reminds me of how they used to sell those LP’s on the air with “25 of the greatest hits”. As a kid, you fell for it and bought the record, only to find out the songs were all performed by no account cover bands. Oh well. At least Bernadette Peters got about an A minus in tit department. I never saw her appear without cleavage showing... What were we talking about again?...LOL. Thanks for joining in on that catchy little tune, Great Fatness...I was thinking about recording it in a bluesy, Joe Cocker style, but I’m afraid it may come off as Lou Rawls-ish...
