I hope getting pulled for defense this early doesn't mess with Frazier's confidence. I was wondering if he was pulled for injury or defense. As bad as he is defensively they really should pull him any time they’re ahead and it is the 6th or later. He can cost them the game on any routine flyball. Hopefully that’s all it was and he wasn’t hurt on that HBP. |

I was okay with the move against JD Martinez. Ottavino’s slider to righties is nasty. That was a big at bat. I liked the move... Martinez didn’t... |

Another vague trivia:
I had a 19 year career, but I didn’t get to play a full season with the Yankees until my age 39 season.
I finished up my career with them that season proudly with 19 HR and 78 RBI... not a bad walk away for an old man...

I would have stuck with Ottavino. Why Holder? Me too... Ottavino does lead the BP in innings pitched, so maybe that plays into it? Holder has about the same number of innings pitched, but he would be an apt sacrificial lamb for Ottavino... |
