There are more HR hit in Yankee Stadium than in Coors. The thin air and low humidity environment in Denver allows more hard hit balls, and the fly balls do tend to travel greater distances, but the field was built to accommodate with longer foul lines and power alleys. Because of the additional hard hit rate of baseballs and the larger outfield, Coors does allow a higher batting average and more non-home run extra base hits than most stadiums due to the inability of most outfielders to cover the greater distances to catch or cut hits off in the gaps. The rhetoric about the home runs in Colorado is over blown...There are many very long HR because of the extra carry, but there are no short home runs. Get it? Probably not. Once you’ve made up your mind, you tend to be hard to educate further...Never stop learning, Russ... NOW, I am, along with Tequila REALLY Confused = Are there Short Homers Or Long Homers OR BOTH??? I have seen both Short & Long Homers.
I know that in Denver I have a harder time breathing (for whatever that is worth)…
Coors by the way, is an Awful Beer at least for myself & Tequila.
I guess I will just have to listen to the announcers when a Homer is hit whether it was a Shortie OR a Lonbgie???
Yes, Tequila, NOW you can LAUGH!!!
WTH? How can a HR be short if the distances are long? You and noetsi need to... oh, never mind. You just need to lay off the mushrooms. See if Tequila will let you share some crackers...

I see Ryan Lavarnway is starting at catcher for the Reds. That didn't take long from Scranton.

Happ looked good there after the possible injury scare.

Glad to see we're not the only team with the doofus baserunning moves. After the doofus play by Tauchman he made up for it with a great throw.

Happ gets Blackmon to end the threat. But it looks like he won't go much more than five again.

Idiot Rockies announcing crew says that Happ won 12 as a youngster and other than that had a 20 win season as his high water marks. Happ also won 17 in the year he split between the Jays and Yanks... Reading is good, dopes...
Well... gotta go. Invited to play cards with the old folks next door tonight. I haven’t seen much of them lately since I’ve been crazy busy (working and forum posting...oh, and watching the Yanks). Hmm. Maybe I haven’t been all that busy...

Quick notes on Freeland before I run:
I didn’t know he has that hesitation in his delivery.
He’s only lasted into the fifth inning or later in 5 of his 13 MLB starts this season, and averaged under 5 innings per start in his 6 MiLB starts in his exile this season...
