a guy right out of the minors and we strand two more runners. Been a while since we played this badly. Really. You’d think we’ve lost 12 in a row... I think we gave up 25 runs, hit into 4 plus dp and stranded a million base runners. How many games exactly do you require to play poorly to call it bad performance. If you tell me I will wait until we do so . I think 3 games is enough personally. |

July 23: MLB.com's Jon Morosi reports that the Yankees, who have reportedly had their focus set on starting pitching ahead of the July 31 Trade Deadline, have been in touch with the D-backs about left-hander Robbie Ray in recent days. Inger has been calling for this one. Yankees play the Diamondbacks on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. |

By the way, in case you don’t realize it...This game is far from over...It’s silly to think that I’d name a certain number of games. It is what it is...You play them one at a time, and all nine innings of each... |

But after 2 more games of looking awful the question is how many games does it have to be to be significant. To not to be able to argue its just a fluke. I think this a good not great pitching staff that is regressing to their mean. We shall see. |
