I was going to talk about the HOF issue, but it's really too soon after the man's death for me to go over numbers and make comps. I just know that when he was at his best, he was the best in the game for a while. To me, that's qualification #1. I never felt Mussina was the best in the game, not for one moment. There is a major difference there...

There is a major difference there... Halladay was always a no-brainer to me. Best starting pitcher in the game over a 10 year span (2002-2011 aggregate). |

The plane is oh-so-close to being a George Jetzon car...With it's tiny size and automobile-like dash I think it might be far too easy to get a false sense that it's easy to fly and take risks. It would seem as though if there was something wrong with the plane, there might have been a mayday call from the radio. Perhaps a bit of horse-play was involved? I understand there is a recommended minimum altitude for small planes at 500 feet, so either something went wrong with the plane, or something went wrong with the way it was being flown...or both...
I see people in little sports cars and on motorcycles take gambles every day to save a second or two. Makes me wonder if those same people were in a little plane like that what they might do...
