The ump just took a possible big inning away from the Yanks. Only one out
Yahoo only showed one I guess there were two.
Maybin was running on the pitch and was thrown out easily at 2B. It should have been first & second with no outs.

Cool. Popular vote? Or nerd support?... Graduate students are never opposed for Senate seats. By the time I was Senate president I was the only long term Senator and had written all the statues. So it was not hard getting selected to be Senate president. My proudest achievement is not my PHD (which in honesty was not that awesome) but that they have an award named after me in student government. Not many of those...
Neat little legacy to leave behind... I was always in the background in the Student Council, serving two term as the Parliamentarian. I suppose background was not always true, as I did also serve as campaign manager for three winning and one losing class Presidents. I belonged to the Student Police, which came with a nifty little Nazi-like arm band with the letters “SP” on it, giving me authority to abuse underclassmen moving between classes. I liked it because I could come in to late, and leave with three minutes left to get to my station. I wore the school mascot uniform for one one game. When I did it, I had never attended a game, so I sort of sucked at it... A LOT... Did enough extra-curricular crap to earn a school letter. It’s in a drawer around here somewhere... Oh, and wrote part of the yearbook prologue in my senior year, wrote for an “underground” school paper. “Part of” is a story in and of itself...It was supposed to be the whole thing, but my then depressive dark side took control of my pen and I lost my way in the process. I had forgotten most of this stuff, honestly...maybe that was best... Sh*t. I just missed a half inning writing this.., Need to get back to reality..,

Mookie Betts is a very good player, but he was out of his gourd last year. This year, he’s closer to his career numbers...

Statutes, Russ. Statues are much different.

He's going to get a monster deal from someone and Boston already has a lot of salary tied up on others.

He turned down an extension and is going to test the market. Another team will build a franchise around him.

I'm sure you're right....I am not going to revel too much in Boston losing Mookie, because that Houdini act they pulled off a few years ago, getting out of bad contracts and rebuilding so quickly, means they might be able to do that again...
