He says the same thing about you!... Well he failed the anchor grid analysis I ran for the Yankees so that makes sense

I liked Kubeck and Garagiola the best I think of any group I heard I used to fall asleep listening to those guys. At the end of their tenure, they spoke more to each other than about the game. “Oh, and another strikeout...”

I liked Kubeck and Garagiola the best I think of any group I heard I thought Tony Kubek was really good. Intelligent commentary, and a bit too honest to suit The Boss. I thought he made a good pairing with Al Trautwig back in the MSG days. Garagiola was a little too corny with the stories for my taste, but he reminds me of listening to games as a kid and I give him nostalgia points for that. The Yankees have had many outstanding announcers over the decades. On the other hand, they also have John and Suzyn.

Because they talk way to loud and excited way to much which is my least favorite type of announcer. I like low key approaches. Well they have a lot to be excited about. You would enjoy Kirk Gibson on the Tigers broadcast. He talks like BooBoo Bear. You just made the idea of watching at least an inning or so of a Tigers game seem attractive. That’s not easy... They’re making The Orioles look like the Big Red Machine... Which, by the way, is a great example of a team with only average pitching dominating... Sort of like the Yankees. Big guns on offense, strong defense... average pitching was plenty enough...

I'd say the YES crew is near the top of the list when it comes to local broadcasting teams. I like the Giants, Cubs and Mets (when they're aren't doing a Yankee/Mets game) crews too. We like the same crews. Chi. The Mets do a good job. I like the Orioles crew when they have Thorne and Jim Palmer.

Amazing how the yankees seem to have a backup player that can play above average if theres an injury, but lack rotation depth. Is their AAA starters that bad that they keep relying on relievers? Looks like the Yankees only have 3 minor league pitchers on their 40 man roster Chance Adams who has been up here and has an era over 7, Daniel Camarena who came up for 1 game, and Domingo Acevedo who got called up for a few hours last season and didn't appear in a game. I mean do they not trust any of those 3 to attempt to fill in some of these starts that would have been CC's?

Dry, understated humor that you’ll miss if not listening closely.

I thought Garagiola was excellent in his younger days, but his wit caught the attention of talk shows. That led him to become a bit more of a self-promoter, plotting for additional work as a guest, guest host, and host of other events. Can’t really blame him. There was a lot of money to be made year round in those venues. So, Joe had a bit of hotdog in him. That’s not so bad... (:
