I think I'd rather have Miggy as the DH. Stanton strikes out way too much and has too many slumps. Miggy can carry the team all by himself at times. I love the way Andujar attacks the baseball.

We are playing with a lot of replacements but the replacements overall might be better than what we started with. The outfield of Tauchman Gardner and Judge is a keeper. If you combine that with Urshela at third, dd ss, Torres 2b and DJ on first that's our best. Romine or Sanchez you pickem. they are better defensively but Stanton and Hicks are much better hitters (its hard to say how good Tauchman will be offensively over time). Hicks is supposed to be a very good cf if he ever is not hurt. In any case we are stuck with Hicks and Stanton for many years

Giants have 36 in 54 according to YES. Yankees could pass that too with 1 game left at Camden Yards.

Looking at Tauchmans swing and his minor league history I think you can be pretty sure he's going to continue improving. Hicks I could go with either way but I believe Stanton was a mistake. Not a terrible mistake but he is over-rated and overpaid.

We could use that salary for three pitchers, and good ones, too... yeah. Not a good decision to sign him in my opinion. For about 10 years He can opt out after 2020, but he probably won't as his yearly salary would be 31 million and he would be 31 years old. Machado and Harper didn't get that on the open market at 26 years old so doesn't make much sense to put out.

It would be a huge break for us, but not likely

But, he still has a no trade clause, so he’s not going anywhere unless he wants to leave.

Since he’ll “only” be making $31M we might be able to buy out that no trade for some pocket money, like $5M-7M. Plus, we’d have to pick up about $12-$15M of his annual salary... easy money...

He should ask Clint for a refund on the defensive skills coaching sessions.

He should ask Clint for a refund on the defensive skills coaching sessions. Also the lessons on how to avoid concussion...
