I doubt I could afford to eat there... Just stand around and pick up the stuff people drop... it’s good...

Definitely on Eutaw Street. It’s neat to see a ball land in a spot I’ve actually walked through... I wonder if the marker they put on the street will say “Inger stepped here”?... That’s a cobblestone street, by the way, so they take a brick or two out and put a bronze marker right on the street. Didi and I will be memorialized... Its final landing spot was on that warehouse awning. Didi will need name in lights up there instead.

Either way, that warehouse makes a 401 footer look like 600 feet... (:

Great park, isn't it? I assume you've eaten at Rick Dempsey's? Fun place, and he makes the rounds. No. I ate at Boog’s a couple of times. I don’t know if he still works the grill, but he was that day. Talkative, friendly. Damn good sandwich. I felt a little guilty for hating him before that... Yeah, same here. Big fun guy. Greg Luzinski has a very similar thing going in Philly. Same type of guy too, although not quite as large as Boog.

I thought Luzinski was a bigger guy than John Powell...

didi hits one that the announcer thinks reached the road... 3-0 remarkable that no one has ever hit one out of Yankee stadium. Mantle I think came closest I remember that game very well. It was 1963 off of Bill Fisher. Hit the very top of the third level facade at the Real Yankee Stadium. Still on the rise when it crashed into it. It was easily over 500 feet. I was listening to the Yankee broadcast on WCBS in those days. Mel Allen was going crazy. It was one of those shots where the next day's papers would show arrows illustrating the flight of the ball.

Speaking of celeb-owned joints, there is a golf course near Smyrna, DE. That used to be owned by Ron Jaworski. I’m feeling for the name of it. I always struggled there, it was a long course. The length didn’t hurt me as much as the trees. Between the two it gave me fits...I doubt I ever came in under 92-95... The guys knew I hated the place. I was glad when it kind of went downhill and no one wanted to play it. He eventually closed the course. I think it’s now reopened under new ownership...
