The Pink Adonis was not unimpressive. Great stuff? No, but enough variety and location to keep hitters off balance. I'm not certain about his long-term future, but tonight he didn't make Boone go to another reliever and that's a plus.

I don’t know why I notice these things, but it seems I often do. On this day in 1865 former dead ball player Hercules Burnett was born.
Today, 154 years later Adonis Rosa made his Yankee debut. I don’t know how strong Hercules Burnett was, but he did hit 2 HR in his 21 career at bats, a lot for those times.
And yes, Hercules was his given name...

Certainly a night Rosa won't forget. It was nice seeing a youngster who looked so composed in his first MLB game. He looked calm, smiled a time or two, and the reports of polished command rang true...He has the appearance of a natural athlete...

The question is not deserving of a reply, because it just doesn’t matter. I would not even consider it if I were an MLB manager. Not even if I managed a contending beer league team... this is from a manager that bats tauchman 9th and Hicks when not hurt in the top 3. Batting average or OBP are not part of whatever algorithm he uses. No it’s not. I said it, not Boone. If you want to have that conversation with him, I’d suggest you call to see if he’ll give you an appointment. If he will, I might pay to watch that meeting...It would probably last longer than the old Butterbean fights...

I doubt Boone would be interested in discussing it. I wonder what he does use to make up the order.

I doubt Boone would be interested in discussing it. I wonder what he does use to make up the order. If seen it. It’s one of those erasable pens, nothing fancy. He has decent penmanship...
