German just has to work on not throwing so many gopher balls. It seems his biggest fault is the occasional HR. There have been plenty of really good to great pitchers that succeeded despite that fault. Bert Blyleven. Mario Soto. Robin Roberts. Don Drysdale. I’d take any of them in their primes...And their primes were not in this age of the HR... |

Never caught a ball at a game. Me neither, but I’ll be damned if they'd get it back. I’d probably lyngive it to a kid nearby... or a nearby kid... unless of course it was historic. Then, I would make sure anyone that came for it knew that ball wasn't Manhattan and I wasn’t trading it for trinkets... (: |
