He’s never been a high OBP guy. It’s one of the things that hold him back from being a great player. Didi has his own style. I wouldn't change a thing Style is one thing; a career .316 OBP is quite another.

I was hoping we could adjust Civale’s ERA a bit more tonight than what we’ve done so far. His stuff seems sort of average, but he is commanding his pitches quite well...

I thought as he aged, he’d become more selective, forcing pitchers over the plate. Alas, I think he’s essentially a finished product. Great guy, wonderful team player and personality, but I don’t envision him getting better offensively unless he stops swinging at pitcher’s pitches.
