1. Gleyber Torres (R) 2B 2. Brett Gardner (L) CF 3. Gary Sanchez (R) C 4. Edwin Encarnacion (R) DH 5. Didi Gregorius (L) SS 6. Gio Urshela (R) 3B 7. Mike Ford (L) 1B 8. Clint Frazier (R) LF 9. Tyler Wade (L) RF
Interesting lineup: No Judge, LeMahieu, or Voit (who finally put together some good at bats yesterday). And, a cray-cray defensive outfield...Gardner will have his work cut out for him tonight.

I'm not a fan of sitting Judge and DJ at the same time.

If the Yankees are going to trot out a somewhat "B" lineup, there is no better team to do it against than Detroit. At this point, I just want the key Yankee players to be available for the post-season. With the team averaging an IL-worthy injury about every four games, I'd rather risk homefield advantage than risk losing important players.

It’s amazing that Detroit has managed to find a way to slip behind the Orioles in winning pct... Orioles will win 50 games this year compared to 46 or 47 last year. At that rate, they'll be a contender for the division title in 2035 or 2036.

Jack Morris is insinuating that you don’t expect Gardner to hit HR. C’mon guys. He’s been hitting them for several seasons now. If you don’t expect it by now, when will you start?...

Surprised to see Ken Singleton doing this series I thought his only one left this year was the last Tampa one.
