If you're gonna shift you risk the bunt. Bunting there is no any less of a "proper baseball play" than using the shift in the first place. Dozier and the Twins are morons. Glad we beat those guys in the Wild Card last year.

I'll stick to the Show. Seriously feels like ESPN trolling. The only way to get them out in the game is to pitch low and away. Feels like they're saying just pitch these three hitters there and they'll strike out every time..

If baseball was only that easy...I remember Bouton's "Ball Four", where there was a plot in a pitcher's meeting to say "Smoke him inside" for every hitter. As the meeting went, that was accepted every time by the pitching coach and manager. Morons...

I thought it would embed the video but since it didn't... It was worse throws by a pitcher. Of course Lester and Betances made quite a few appearances

I know when I played I could make throws from the outfield from 350 feet and hit a dime (and the damned dime would be OUT, too!). Put me at third base, and I could field the ball well, but I had a tendency to throw the ball away...I could make the little tosses from 2B or SS...Why was it so hard to throw from third base???

I would guess that the running game skills suffered because Betances was so huge and they had to work on his mechanics to get him throwing strikes. In 2012, when he had an ERA of 6.44 and allowed 144 hits and 99 walks with 20 wild pitches in 131.1 innings, I figured he'd never make the majors. The conversion to reliever of course saved his career when he began to throw an adequate number of strikes (until 2017 when things went awry again). It seems he may have a problem with mental focus, and that he can't think about more than one thing at a time...It would be a shame if he can't overcome that, for it appears his career has become dependent on it...
