The way things are going is there a chance Mike Ford is on the playoff roster over Luke Voit?

Voit has really struggled since coming off the injured list, so it is something you have to consider. Ford would also give you a left handed bat off the bench, since Edwin, if healthy, should start.

Did you ever think you would see the day when Gardner was hitting 3rd for the Yankees?

I guess the recent numbers point to Ford. And I know the objective, which I completely agree with, is to field the team with the best shot at winning. And unless EE is unable to play, it's hard to imagine a scenario where the Yankees carry both of them.
But man it would be tough to have Voit not be part of the roster after all he has contributed the past two seasons. This is where Boone and the suits earn their pay. I still think Voit will get the nod, but it's not a slam dunk.

Yes. Big Voit fan but they will be making a mistake if they take Luke over Ford. Luke hasn’t been right since he hurt himself and Ford is raking right now.

You have be a fan of all three of Ford, Voit, and EE. I’m also concerned about EE, to be honest...Since he’s only a gap-filler, I might have decided to let him sit for at least the first round...We need Voit right for next year...

Farrell will be another opener. He’s only worked 11 innings in his 8 appearances for the Rangers, all in relief in 2019...

Twice Encarnacion has gone down when he was hitting. Such a shame. He’s a dangerous run producer and has prodigious power. Voit is more patient and gets on base, but he’s not hitting or slugging. And, what happened to all that positive energy and smiling demeanor? I’d vote for Ford, but I suspect Encarnacion will be the Yankees’ choice if healthy enough to play.

Of course, I get Tom Grieve and some other lifeless guy on the Ranger’s announcing team... as Judge scores on the sac fly...
