Team doesn't look like it's ready for the playoffs. I think a lot of the team is giving half effort this week to prevent injuries etc.

I totally agree baseball players are creatures of habit all these off days, sitting, etc does nothing good and like you said leads to more injuries because they are out of routine. Well hopefully that's the end of openers, Cessa garrin Adams pitching etc.

Giving credit where credit is due, Lynn has pitched a good, solid ball game today. If he had signed with NY and pitched the way he has this season, he’d probably have at least 20 wins this season... He didn’t throw anything like this when he was with us. So either Texas is coaching him significantly better or he’s found some magical way to add 3-5 mph of velocity this late in his career.

It’s said he found a new arm slot this season. Whether the Rangers coaching staff did that or he did it on his own, I don’t know. One thing that’s become quite obvious to me is that some pitchers don’t thrive in New York. We usually hear that it’s due to stress or a mental block. We always tend to hear that the stress is due to fan expectation or to the press. Perhaps it has to do with an inability to connect with the coaching staff. In saying that, I’m not condemning the coaches, for I don’t know how that happens...
