Oh, and thanks for keeping MrG's spirit alive with the poll name. Man, he would have enjoyed this year. Hard to believe this will be the 7th season our group has seen without the Gster.
But we know he's watching from above.

I can't believe it's been that long. I would have thought four or five years. I remember exchanging notes with him just a few days before he died, and we had talked on the phone about meeting for lunch. I did not realize how ill he was. He sounded so energetic, just like in his posts. I still think of him, and always with a smile for his feistiness and hardcore Yankee partisanship.

Okay. This has been the “Captain Obvious Poll”. Thanks to all for playing. There was no winner or loser... The loser is Kendrys Morales who can’t believe he was not included in the poll.

Oh, and thanks for keeping MrG's spirit alive with the poll name. Man, he would have enjoyed this year. Would have enjoyed? Would have? Shoot, his spirit can now flit in and out of the locker room, the clubhouse, back to his family, anywhere he wants to be. No longer bound by his scooter or the difficulty breathing he was experiencing. There is quite a bit of evidence if not proof of his continued existence right on this forum. We still continue to receive his vibrations on a near daily basis. His transmitter hasn’t shut down, and we have the capacity to receive the messages he sends out without him having the capacity or need to type them. You say it’s been seven years? To him, it’s been but a blink. In a few more of his blinks, we’ll all be with him...He’ll show us the ropes, and we’ll blink in a similar way...

I had to be a contrarian and vote for Torres

He’s worthy. So are Urshela, Gardner, and Paxton, due to his late season drive. Britton and Chapman also deserve mention. Yes, Ottavino as well, but he’s my third choice in the pen...I give some credit to Robbie “Don’t call me Robbie” Cano, too. That’s for getting his sorry ass out of town a few years back and not being here to block anyone...Tauchman wasn’t our MVP, but I won’t forget what he did once he got locked in to play on a daily basis...And with only a bit more than 100 games, you can never forget about Aaron Judge when you speak of MVP. His mere presence is astounding...

I had to be a contrarian and vote for Torres Not at all. Torres had a ton of huge hits this season, and his numbers speak for themselves. I wish he had fewer defensive and baserunning miscues, though. Yankees give up too many outs on the base-paths and have for several seasons. You’d think it to be correctable.

I honestly think the winner should be the rehab techs who patched up the players over and over again...
