What a move...couldnt be more thrilled. Feels a lot like when we signed CC. When the reports came out that the "Yankees arent going to be denied" they sure as hell were accurate. Just have to hope that the Houston secret sauce that apparently made every pitcher amazing follows him here.

Horsehide Banjo Hitter Mop-up Man Gonfalon (that's really ancient) I knew what all of the one's you and inger posted meant except Gonfalon. Had to look that one up. The only reason I knew "Gonfalon" is because it is used in the old baseball poem about Tinker to Evers to Chance. In the line "ruthlessly pricking our Gonfalon bubble." I think the language has changed a bit since then.

And listening to his podcast after the season he was pretty out in front on making the same comparison. I wonder if he spoke to Cole at all.

To be frank, this guy is far more dominant than CC was at any point save the 3 months he spent with Milwaukee...CC was a warrior. Cole is a space invader...

And it's paying off already: Did they really need an analytics department to convince them to sign Garrit Cole? I was taking that to mean that Cole liked the analytics vs. the other way around...
