Well that went just about as good as a Spring Training game can go.

For some reason, that swing doesn’t seem the same as last season. Is it my imagination, or is there more “loop” and not as flat through the zone? I think it had more to do with pitch location than normal swing path. A bit down and in...

Starting outfield could be Andujar, Gardner, and Frazier? Tauchman as the backup? Tauchman platooning with one of the pair? I might go that way...

I like : DJLM GARDNER TORRES VOIT ANDUJAR SANCHEZ URSHELA TAUCHMAN FRAZIER I want Sanchez to prove himself to be consistent before I put him in the 3/4/5 triumvirate. This lineup is intended vs. RHP only.

But I’d give it a chance and I’d keep an eye on Tauchman, who showed some good OBP skills and a touch of speed last year...

I’d flip Andujar and Sanchez but otherwise yes.

I’d flip Andujar and Sanchez but otherwise yes. Andujar, and I dread the feedback from this statement, as a number three hitter reminds me of Don Mattingly. Aggressive, up there to hit, not to walk. Bad ball hitter. If you get on base in front of him he’s likely going to move you along. And then there’s the line drive power... I wouldn’t mind seeing him in that slot once he shows he’s well and back to what we saw in ‘18...

I’ve always wanted a high average, aggressive hitter in the three hole. Maybe that’s dumb and you should keep plodding along with the higher OBP, but to me the .260/.380 hitters just don’t get with a guy or two in scoring position...

And as far as Donnie goes... Well, Hell yes. When he knocked on 145, I really thought he might be able to challenge the single season RBI record some day. Had he been healthy, maybe he would have. He just kept getting better and better...and then. History. Sad history...
