New MLB rules: shower at home, don't spit, Mr Met stay away
What is baseball without spitting? After reading this, I'm not sure I even want baseball to come back. Does MLB really expect players and coaches to remember all these new rules on what they can and can't do?

Do people spit on their living room carpet when they sit at home ? Of course not. But when you go to the ballpark you have to spit all the time for some reason.

It has a purpose, though. He chews tobacco, as baseball players used to do...

I don’t know, but your lawn looks spectacular! [img class="smile" alt=" " src="//storage.proboards.com/6828121/images/YNYHoCFKqruGiGxicSWF.gif"] It's the combination of sit and rabbit crap, it makes great fertilizer. I have tons of rabbit crap on mine this year. We’ve been in serious drought this year, so they’re feasting on the only thing available. My grass! I just spread some “Revive” on my lawn today is is basically reconstituted chicken crap, to help green it up with the combination of the doughy and chicken crap... I don’t think I spot much when I mow. I probably do some with the dust and weed seed in these winds. I do carry my thermos with ice water out here due to the strength of and frequency of the sun...

Jeff Passan of ESPN reports that MLB plans to process upward of 10,000 COVID-19 tests per week, according to a draft of the league's health-and-safety manual. Ken Rosenthal and Evan Drellich of The Athletic also reported details of the manual. The plan calls to separate people into tiers, with Tier One including players, on-field personnel and medical personnel and Tier Two consisting of other "essential" employees, like front office staff. These two groups would be tested for the coronavirus multiple times a week, as well as their families. Interestingly, MLB plans to "offer free diagnostic and antibody/serology testing" for healthcare workers and first responders in MLB cities as a public service. Other parts of the manual are focused on social distancing initiatives, such as banning the use of high-fives, first-bumps, and spitting. Players will also be discouraged from showering at the ballpark or being allowed to use taxis or ride-sharing services. Multiple sections were missing from the information provided to Passan, so this isn't a complete picture of what a potential season would look like, but what we do know sounds incredibly complicated. As of now, the hope is for a spring training 2.0 to begin in mid-June, with the start of the season coming in early July.

Also yea if that's the atmosphere they have to play under what's the point? The first nascar race starts in about an hour so I'm wondering how different that will look, but least they are in cars these others sports there's more physical contact etc.
