Will they still be able to practice at the Spring Training facilities? Maybe play games in empty stadiums so the season isn't delayed further? Strat-O-Matic revival... |

So the real question is, will the illness be killed by the heat this summer. In which case I am wrong, baseball will be fine. NOESTI: I was HOPING for the same. But Australia where it is Summer and very hot currently still is getting a surge in Virus cases. So apparently HEAT Weather wise doesn't work. |

Didn’t know SOM had that available. Seems it might be time-consuming, with loading time, etc.? Are there significant or insignificant fees involved? |

Inger the way it works is you fill out your line up. Then you come to a chat room like this. You roll your dice and tell the other what happened. They roll their dice and tell you. A little slower than real time, but it works. Society is going to be doing a lot of this soon.
There are no fees. You just have to own the game (and use the same year's version).

I have tickets this weekend and I’m seriously considering canceling even though it will cost us some money. The more I learn anoint this situation the worse it seems. And none of that has anything to do with the nitwits buying stores out of soap or wearing useless masks. The science behind what’s happening is concerning and the US government has handled this as poorly as any country except maybe China. It is going to get bad here. Well, I’d have preferred to have been wrong about this. We canceled our flights today and I was prepared to lose what we spent for the tickets. Later today they canceled spring training. It isn’t going to be something that goes away quickly although these measures might minimize some of the spread. I hope everyone is careful, especially people who are more at risk. |

For others this is going to be a real tragedy. I hope people are paying attention. I'm pretty worried about my brother. He is a emergency medicine resident at Mt. Sinai right on the front lines of all this nonsense. I just talked to him for about an hour and half and really from top to bottom no one has any idea what they are doing with respect to the virus. It's not a good situation. |
