Hi Gang! I’m starting to feel better. Not perfect, but well enough that after Christmas I want to go back to work. Yesterday afternoon my 80+ year old neighbor called me and asked me to help him with his wife. She had been sick for several days, diagnosed with bronchitis and tested negative with COVID. She couldn’t get out of her chair to go to the bathroom. She was so weak that I was afraid we’d drop her and I suggested we call an ambulance. They took her to the hospital. About 5 hours later they sent her back home IN THE SAME CONDITION!. Her left arm had no feeling and she couldn’t move it. And now she was testing positive for COVID. She’s back in the hospital today (where she desperately needed to stay). Anyway, Ruthie and I have now been exposed to “it”. Since she had been tested negative we had no idea that she had COVID. I guess we’ll just quarantine for 1.5 weeks and hope for the best. Not much we can do about it. 😋 I hope your neighbor was a false positive. Either, good luck to you and Ruthie, Inger! INGER: Since the Outbreak I have been expose to FOUR Individuals that had COVID = Two died--the other Two Recovered.
I have a COVID Regiment that I am on since March/April and it appears to have worked, at least so far.
This is just my recommendations (not from a Medical Expert):
1. I get 10-12 hours sleep per day--10 hours at night & a 2-hour day nap.
2. Everyday I take the following Vitamins = C D3 B12 ZINC
3. Every OTHER day i add the following to #2 = Turmeric Curcumin, Milk Thistle, Ashwagandha Root Powder, Apple Cider Vinegar Pills
4. I try to eat Strawberries, Blue Berries & Black Berries everyday.
5. In the mornings I get a Tree of Life Drink & another Fruit/Veggie drink with around 7 veggies & 7 fruits
6. At night I try to eat a Spinach Salad with one boiled egg, sliced bell peeper, red beet, tomato, etc. with chicken, fish or tuna.
7. Before i go to bed a eat a fruit dish = Mango, Banana, Papaya, Kiwi, Pineapple, Watermelon, Green Melon, Orange Melon, lime etc.
8. When i can get it I eat Cactus Fruit & Seaweed.
9. I drink as much Water as possible with lime and electrolytes.
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND: That I am almost 70-years old, my Lungs are scared, i have COPD & Diabetics 2--PLUS I am overweight = A prime Candidate for COVID.
AND I TRY TO AVOID STRESS AS MUCH AS I CAN = I laugh, giggle, smile and dance at least 20-minutes a day.
I wish you & Ruthie only the best.
I stated on a prior post that the odds-numbers say = Sadly, that one of us on this board will get the Virus

I’m already doing a similar regimen, which is just my regular routine. I’m not as fruit nor veggie centric as you, but I do take a highly regarded supplement for both. I add marshmallow pies to make me feel good and tend to burst out in song instead of dancing. I don’t have COPD nor do I have any problems with frightened lungs, but I am diabetic with hypertension. Now that my depression is improving I don’t sleep past 7-8 hours anymore. If I had to be exposed to the virus, I’m glad it was in the act of helping someone. I’d rather know where it came from and that it was t from a frivolous or careless act.

My stepfather passed away yesterday after a short battle with Covid. He had several health issues over the years, but he always got past them, but he couldn't beat this virus. My mother is also in the hospital with the virus, but she is doing well and will probably be released after the weekend. Her & my stepdad took care of each other, so I'm not sure what she's being released to now. Take care you all and be safe out there!

Praying for you and your family with condolences for your loss...

Love and condolences to you and your family. I spent a few hours last night talking to my wife’s dearest friend, whose mother died the night before after catching COVID in the hospital. My wife and I and her friend and mother went on vacation together several times. It is increasingly maddening to me the number of people who still believe this virus to be a hoax or who equate wearing a mask as a sacrifice of liberty.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend's mother, Rizz. It's nice that you were there for her to have someone to talk to during such a terrible time. I agree with you, I don't get how so many people think that asking people to wear a mask is a violation of their rights. It's absurd.

To Chi, Rizz, Inger etc. = I am so sorry for your loss of loved ones, friends etc. and for those currently infected, etc.
This Virus is one of the most Vicious Ones and so easily transmitted.
Example: In Feb. A Bio-Tech Firm held a conference in Boston with attendees from around the world.
Unknown to them at the time there was ONE attendee infected...
As of today they have traced this One person's infection to over 250,000 infected globally.
What is very disturbing and all so WRONG--We still have Millions of Americans REFUSING to Wear Mask, SD, avoid Large Crowds & Millions that do not believe the Virus is real (instead a Hoax).
As the Virus is Super Surging again in America and Govt. Officials are shutting Down Bars, Restaurants Large Venue places/events, etc. protesters are out in force rebelling against such restrictions (that would only save their lives.).
The Experts have proven that more than 65% Plus of the virus infections have come from Bars--Restaurants--Large Venue Events, etc.
IF all Americans for the next 90-days wore MASKS--SD--Avoided Large Crowds (inside/outside) combine with the Vaccine we could get a handle on this Virus.
SADLY, I have to CUT out of my LIFE the Friends/associates (The Stupid Ones) who refuse to practice the above.
Again my Prays go out to those you have Lost & those currently Infected.

It's a precaution he has been taking since a June experiment when he and colleagues recreated the conditions at a restaurant in Jeonju, a city in the southwest of South Korea, where diners contracted COVID-19 from an out-of-town visitor. Among them was a high school student who was infected with the coronavirus after five minutes of exposure from more than 20 feet away. The results of the study, for which Lee and other epidemiologists enlisted the help of an engineer who specializes in aerodynamics, were published last week in the Journal of Korean Medical Science. The conclusions raised concerns that the widely accepted standard of six feet of social distance may not be far enough to keep people safe. The study — adding to a growing body of evidence on airborne transmission of the virus — highlighted how South Korea's meticulous and often invasive contact tracing regime has enabled researchers to closely track how the virus moves through populations. "In this outbreak, the distances between infector and infected persons were....farther than the generally accepted 2 meter [6.6 foot] droplet transmission range," the study's authors wrote. "The guidelines on quarantine and epidemiological investigation must be updated to reflect these factors for control and prevention of COVID-19." KJ Seung, an infectious disease expert and chief of strategy and policy for the nonprofit Partners in Health's Massachusetts COVID response, said the study was a reminder of the risk of indoor transmission as many nations hunker down for the winter. The official definition of a "close contact" — 15 minutes, within six feet — isn't foolproof. In his work on Massachusetts' contact tracing program, he said, business owners and school administrators have fixated on the "close contact" standard, thinking just 14 minutes of exposure, or spending hours in the same room at a distance farther than six feet, is safe. "There’s a real misconception about this in the public." said Seung, who was not involved in the South Korea study. "They’re thinking, if I’m not a close contact, I will magically be protected." --12-10-20 MEXICO’S ROLLOUT OF VACCINE (NOT GOOD FOR DO ME…): MEXICO’S VACCINE TIMELINEThe federal government of Mexico just announced their plan for vaccines for COVID-19. If you notice, the mayority of the population will not receive it until 2022. The mayority of medical professionals will not receive it until April 2021. Today Dec 8th 2020, in the intensive care unit in La Paz, BCS (our capital city) where all of difficult cases go for the whole state, is nearly full or now full. Please remember to use your face mask in or outdoors in public spaces. Do your best to be 2 meters in distance from people not of your household. Loreto holds the highest amount of people with diabetis and obesity in all of the state of BCS (yes, those flower tortillas are delicious!). You may feel you do not need the face mask but so many different people in Loreto need to be protected and they need to go out to work every day - there is no federal support to put food on the table or pay rent. Thank you for helping us get through this. Please remember as per 27th July in Loreto face mask use is mandatory in public spaces in Loreto Municipality. Also, use of face mask passed State Congress as of 20th October. *** A MUST READ –12-10-20: qz.com/1943301/how-long-will-covid-19-vaccines-protect-you-from-infection/?utm_source=YPL THE MILLION $$$ QUESTION? How long will Covid-19 vaccines protect you from infection?
The first Covid-19 vaccines from Pfizer and BioNTech are being distributed in the UK this week, marking a turning point in the pandemic.
As more countries move to authorize and disseminate vaccines, the end of the pandemic can feel tantalizingly close.
But before we can get a clear idea of when and how life could return to normal, we have a number of outstanding questions to answer.
One of those remaining unknowns: Once an individual is vaccinated, how long will their immunity to Covid-19 last? To answer this question and others, scientists need to collect more data from vaccine trials—some of which will simply take longer to collect.
At the moment, only three vaccine candidates—those from Pfizer and BioNTech, Moderna, and AstraZeneca and the University of Oxford—have released meaningful safety and efficacy data from their late-stage clinical trials.
These data are enough for global regulatory bodies to assess whether or not to authorize the vaccines for widespread use. But every Covid-19 vaccine in the pipeline will continue those trials well beyond authorization.
The question of the duration of a vaccine’s efficacy “will be part of ongoing studies,” Albert Bourla, the chief executive officer at Pfizer, said on a press call with the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and Associations on Dec. 8.
The answer doesn’t just depend on how a vaccine performs; it could also change depending on how SARS-CoV-2 acts in the real world.
Early evidence from individual cases has suggested that it’s possible to develop Covid-19 more than once. Scientists still aren’t clear on why this happens; theoretically, after we get sick, our immune cells should build up antibody defenses that will be ready to tackle future infections even faster.
It could be that Covid-19 is more like seasonal viruses, like the cold or flu, for which we don’t retain long-term immunity. In that case, beating back the pandemic and keeping it back would require repeated vaccinations.
Cold and flu viruses also mutate substantially year after year, which is why we need flu shots annually; there is no vaccine for the viruses that cause the common cold.
In that case, we might have to redesign the Covid-19 vaccine before we take it again.
But so far, it seems like SARS-CoV-2 is spreading faster than it mutates—which means that we likely won’t need new vaccines every year.
