Lullabies if Bird don’t fly Run around and wonder why Doesn’t mean that much to If we play him or Voit We can finish first or second That’s just how the playoffs work But we’ll sit alone at last If someone else improves Old man take a look at my team It’s not all that blue We need someone to sign To play shortstop too Ah, one look at Didi And you can tell that’s true Old man take a look at this team And it’s not far off Old man take a look at this team And bring us a short stop
Very well done, inger.
Thank you, but to be fair, I got sleep on it first...

It's funny, I'm listening to Neil Young right now, on Spotify as I logged on to this website. Neil is my all time favorite artist and while, it's difficult to own everything he's put out, since he's catalog is so large, I do have a majority of his releases. I love almost everything he's done, form his grunge work with Crazy Horse, to his folk & country stuff and even the weird releases from the 1980's when he was with Geffen Records. A couple of his great albums that you should check out that are not mainstream and never receive any kind of radio airplay: "On The Beach" from the early 70's, during Neil's dark and depressed era and "Ragged Glory" from 1990, a hard rocking album he did with Crazy Horse. inger's list of Neil songs is great, however, I'd add two of my all time favorites, "Powderfinger" from Rust Never Sleeps and the electric version of "Rockin in the Free World" from Freedom. I've heard both of these tunes a million times and they never get old. I could add another 100 great Neil songs since there's so much to choose from but I need to get back to work! Enjoy the music! I knew you'd be here, Chi. I remembered you saying you are a huge fan. I also figured you could give us some of those deeper cuts that we'd be less familiar with. I could never figure out why his voice sounded so much less creepy on the release "Heart Of Gold"... Here's some more deep cuts from Neil worth checking out: The Losing End Don't Let it Bring You Down Out on the Weekend Journey Through the Past Walk On Revolution Blues Ambulance Blues Speakin' Out Danger Bird Lookin' For a Love Winterlong Homegrown Tonight's the Night (Live Rust Version) Thrasher Sedan Delivery Shots Crime in the City Too Far Gone Country Home White Line Mansion on the Hill Razor Love Be the Rain Boxcar This a long list but these are all great songs.

I should have credited Aerosmith with “Chapman’s Got A Gun. br] I was thinking of “Hey, Joe”. But “Hey, Aroldis” doesn’t cut it for me...

Much appreciated Chi! We're so lucky we live in an age where I can just listen to each song at a click of a button! You don’t know, Kaybli. Even as a small boy I used to think about how great it would be if we could hear any song we wanted to any time we wanted. In a small way, you could say I “invented” the concept. I probably have at least a stronger claim than Al Gore has to the invention of the internet. Siblings, neighbors, and teachers laughed at my imagination when I suggested it. Put yourself back in about the early sixties and imagine hearing a great song on your crackling AM car radio. No one in my household drove except my older brothers, and I was seldom allowed the honor of getting in one of their cars, much less riding down the road with the radio on. Now that I think about it, I was nearly as musically deprived as I was baseball deprived...So now, you’d hear a song...it could be weeks or months before you’d hear it again... If you had money, you’d buy records. We didn’t. My older brother. Wayne started buying a few by the time I was about ten and shared a room with him (he was eighteen), so I was able to hear his records when he played them. The Righteous Brothers and Bobby Vinton were all that he had, except for one Bobby Vee album. I continue to enjoy the talents of Bill Medley to this day, though his pretend “brother” Bobby Hatfield passed a few years ago. Bobby Vinton had some great songs in the day, too...so no real complaints. I was probably 17 when I bought my first album, “Every Picture Tells A Story”, Rod Stewart. You’d have thought I brought the sound of demons into the house. Anyway, one click. It’s great...And, oh! I almost forgot! I got my first transistor radio at about 12. Hiding under the covers at night with the ear phone, listening to Yankee Broadcasts of staticy music on the three stations I could get. Life is much different now. I also used to dream of if you had this round thing that you could put under a cart to make it go. I called it a “while”. So close to greatness, I tell you...

Great album.. I only heard it years later, because of my age, but man it knocked me out. Those first two Zep albums plus the Stones stuff from 68-72 set the standard for me. My older bother always throws those offerings plus Hendrix in my face and I never have an answer for it.😯

Since so many of you guys seem to dig classic rock I thought I would mention that David Crosby’s last record is really excellent. Maybe my favorite from 2018. He put a great band together and there are some excellent four part harmonies evocative of some of the Byrds and CSNY stuff. Check it out if you dig CSN. Amazing he’s still making such great music.
