I’ve been watching Mike King, and he uses a dark brown glove...that could have been the problem. Either go with the light tan glove or black, especially with the Yankees’ traditional colors. Somebody needs to talk with him.

Usually control is one of his strengths from what I've heard. I think he'll be okay. Supposedly, he is known to pound the strike zone, like Boomer did. Hopefully, Inger is correct, and today was just nerves.

Look what he did sandwiched in between the walks! Too many tales told by veterans of remembering their first starts. Their legs feeling like jelly, unable to throw a strike to ignore that theory for me. Once in a while a snot-nosed Vida Blue or Fernando Valenzuela (Yankee site, so throw in Mel Stottlemyre) comes along, bit there are far more that succumb to the jitters...
