This home plate umpire hosed Montgomery on a couple pitches but I give him credit for hearing the foul tip that resulted in a strike out. I looked like a tough call.

Sanchez finally hits a ball hard and it's still an out. I was looking at advanced stats the other day, and he has (when he doesn’t strike out) one of the hardest hit averages on the team. That was a huge surprise to me. The last few games he has hit really solid contact that have just gone foul and some rocket grounders. Gary can hit the ball hard but he came into today's game with 22 K's in 39 AB's, way too high. |
