Or Paxton, or Tanaka, or Andujar, or 3/4 our pitching staff over the last few years. Maybe why we are at it we could avoid people like Germain with anger control problems. People who just show up and play baseball regularly Germain to me devastated us this year and last. I understand injuries, if not why we are always the worse team in baseball every year at that, but not his type of behavior. He can be a jerk on some other team. You were talking about the offense slumping, so why are discussing pitchers. Plus, Andujar had a fluke injury, it happens. It happens to us a lot more often than other teams.

Very surprised that Tanaka was tired. I thought his slider looked especially sharp his last inning. As soon as Green gave up the two out single up the middle, I said, “Please do not give Freeman anything to hit down in the zone!” Ugh! Such a predictable way to go out.
Hope your family is safe rizzuto!
Keep us updated!

If Tanaka was really tiring after only 66 pitches, then that's a problem.

To the tune of the Mighty Mouse theme song:
Most Yankee pitchers give you 66 Anytime they’re asked to pitch When James Paxton comes upon the scene He’s as fragile as a queen
<then something about Gerrit Cole and “Here I come to save the day”, and so forth...
Got lazy with this one, starter of the week... bah, bah, bah...
Not a damned thing rhymes with Montgomery, not anything I can think of off-hand that rhymes with IL or alternate site.
See? You guys think this crazy shit I come up with is easy, right? Right? It’s not man. I’m in the car right now with Brandy getting ex rays and a GI scan. The bill is adding up faster than a spinning meter on gas tank. Still pooping her bloody guts out...

They already called and want to do another blood work up, want to do another stool sample. I just hope they can help her. When she goes it looks like a fountain squirting out the back end...

Yesterday in the first game we started five players hitting less than .200. Andujar pinch hit with an average less than .200. In the second game we had 4 starters hitting less than .200 and 2 pinch hitters hitting less than .200. Add in the fact that Urshela is in a batting slump and that is a really weak lineup. DJLM should be back soon. Hopefully Torres gets well soon but he has been in a slump this year. Last year we had guys like Urshela and Maybin step up and Gardner had a career year. I am not a fan of some of Boone's moves but his options as far as the everyday lineup aren't very good right now. It is easy to look back and say Chapman should have faced Freeman but Green has been great this year. My problem is taking Tanaka out after 66 pitches. Ridiculous.

You got to leave Tanaka in there, maybe with Green warming up, but you still leave him to start the inning. Boone's been pushing all the wrong buttons recently.

Ford’s been taking an ass-whipping on here lately, but the guy isn’t averaging much more than an at bat per game. Criticism of low BA’s, while true must be handed out with care when guys can turn their BA around with a grain of salt. Gardner is deserving of criticism, but can get blistering hot as we’ve seen for many years...

We're just mad because Ford promised sierchio an autograph in the mail and he never sent it.

I didn't mention Ford by name and you are right players with low plate appearances can have deceptive averages, high or low. I never expected a lot from him given his career average of .237. I guess my overall point is we have a lot of guys just not hitting. Having DJ back should be a big shot in the arm but these other guys need to start producing as well. And yes, I know they are not slumping on purpose.
