A couple of rantings about this game: It must be really frustrating to Cashman that he's spent over 42 million on his bullpen and it's supposed to be a team strength, yet the pen is inferior to a Rays pen that put together with scrapes and draft picks. Why is Cole the only starter that can throw more than 60 pitchers without getting tired? What's the deal here, is it just coronaball 2020 or are these guys just not ready or able to pitch deeper into games? Remember except for me posters are only allowed 1.5 rantings per thread.
I suspect that Cashman is more annoyed he is paying fortunes for batters who play a week a year. And that we lead the league in injuries every year.

The starting pitchers going 60 pitches is really strange. I don't know if its a Boone thing or our pitchers don't have the stamina or what. In fairness, I can see why Boone pulled Montgomery in this situation, 3 run lead and Alonso up representing the tying run. Boone gave Green a higher leverage role and Chad let him down. |

I put it in the category the “rapture” that is predicted about once per year, the eruption of Yellowstone that seems to be constantly about 2 years in the future, and tonight’s invasion by space aliens that always seems to leads to another morning without occurring... |
