Will we get from Stanton, Judge, Bird, Sanchez???
Just goofing and thinking. I know Bird is the biggest wild card of the bunch, and it's always risky to assume your catcher will stay healthy...Also, I wonder where the rest of the Yankees HR punch will come from. We don't know who will be playing 2B or 3B yet. We don't know if Gardner or Cashman's Guy will hit 6 each or 20 each, nor how the DH position will shake out...Just to be a jerk, I'm not going to vote right away...(don't want to sway the "election")...

Stanton - 45 Judge - 40 Bird - 35 Sanchez - 30 = 150

I went a few over on Bird and a few under on Judge... so it kinda evens out... Bird might hit 25 and the other ten get split between Judge and Stanton.. I hope they all stay healthy this season... knock on wood...

Also, I'd like to add.. if the ball isn't "juiced," this season.. (I still haven't seen proof of this), we may all be disappointed..

Here's the crazy thing...If we think about last year, Stanton with 59, Judge with 52, well...that's 111, so even if they miss that by 15%, that still leaves about 95 for them. Sanchez missed a month and hit 33, so is a full season going to be 43? And Bird appears to have as much power as any of them and bats left-handed in YS3, so why not expect 45 from him? So that could mean 88 from Sanchez and Bird...so now we come in at max of 199 (see, I'm being conservative and staying under 200...LOL
I think that 161-180 is "realistic" and over 200 is possible...I know that's crazy, and I also know that Stanton usually misses 40 games a year, so that could knock him back to 35 or so. Repeating year one is not all that easy, the sophomore jinx has bitten many big name players after a big HR season, so who knows? Is it 40 in 2018? Bird is far from a sure thing due to his track record, but I have a good feeling about 2018 for him, but if he and Sanchez hit say, 25 and 30, would that be so terrible? So that gives us 130.
Wild, wild swings in the possibilities, huh?
I'm going to go with 161-180, and I feel like a pervert even hoping for that...It just doesn't feel right.
By the way, it's well known that Maris and Mantle combined for 115 in 1961. The next two on the list were Skowron (28) and Berra (22) or Howard (22) or reserve catcher/outfielder John Blanchard with 21, but that was a total of 165 for the top 4 Yanks that season.
So, where am I going with this? In 1962. Maris (33) and Mantle (30) still had fine seasons, but barely combined to top Maris's total from 1961, and the next two were Skowron (23) and Howard (21) so there was a top four total of 107 compared to 150 the season before...
For the fun of it, the season BEFORE 1961, 1960...saw Mantle and Maris combine for 79 with Skowron and Berra clubbing 41 combined, so 120 for the quintet.
Look at that 1960- 120 1961- 150 1962- 107 Try to predict what one baseball season will bring as hard as you want. You will definitely fall flat on your face...

I went with 161 - 180. I think Bird is going to have a huge season with 35 to 40 HR's.

I think its fair to expect them to average 40 HRs between them. Sanchez doesnt play everyday as a C and Bird/Stanton has been known to miss time. Its easily possible that Judge and Stanton hit 50+ though but hard to ever predict 50 homers for anyone.

I went with 161-180. Someone will get hurt, but I figure Judge and Stanton will hit 100 between them.
