Well that was a terrible loss after leading 4-0. On to Baltimore!

I'm not going to blame the kid Abreu. Britton & Chapman should be able to hold a 3 run lead. What an awful loss. Britton was the key. He began the inning with a three run lead and left with a one run lead. Chapman was pitching in a deluge.

Awful relief pitching. Chapman has been a disaster.
We have an easy schedule the rest of the way so we will make the play offs. I think the division was unrealistic anyhow.

Nice job putting Abreu out there, Boone. [img class="smile" alt=" " src="//storage.proboards.com/6828121/images/MGJDDHsrMXMaKUaTXDWm.gif"] Boone is always managing for tomorrow and down the road. I just don’t understand it. Win the game today.

If they are going to play the post season in a bubble, like rumored, it really doesn't matter if you win the division. You just need to make the playoffs and get healthy.

Yeah (well I don't know the play off structure, but that makes sense).
It will be interesting to see who can play in the play offs.

On the positive side Abreu will be rested for tomorrow and Urshela continues to hit. When Torres returns Wade needs to return to his role as a utility player. I would have also said a pinch runner but I’m not so sure about that.

That was a bad base running by Wade, but he's a reserve players, who is usually an excellent base runner. I doubt he makes that mistake again.
The game was really lost by the veteran trio of Happ, Britton and Chapman who combined to give up 7 runs. I think the team, for now, should go back to Britton closing with Ottavino & Green as the set up guys. Let Chapman work out his issues in lower leverage situations.

I agree the blame is on Happ, Britton, and Chapman. Chapman should be used in lower leverage situations now but I don't think Boone will do it.

Speaking of Boone, he needs to stop with these silly late inning defensive replacements. Is Tauchman a big enough defensive upgrade to take Frazier out of the game? I think moving a gold glove caliber 2nd baseman, like DJ to first base actually hurts the team more than it helps. It certainly didn't help Britton in that 8th inning.
