The Liver King, not pretty but ultimately palatable. The Yankees win!

Be patient with King. He’s not quite a finished product at this point...

This kid as been so impressive. And, we wonder why starters rarely pitch deep into games anymore. Just like bunting, they aren’t taught or expected to do so. It's been a long time...

Luke Voit on pace to hit 66 HRs if he played 162 games.

Six in a row and feeling fine!
How does a team go from how we started out the season, to what we became, to what we’re doing now? I once manage a little league team that started out 5-0, then lost 7 in a row, and finally split the last 4 games. 7-9 for the season. A lot of that losing streak falls on the shoulders of two families. The LeBrun’s and the Palmer’s. They took over-lapping family summer vacations, with the LeBrun family leaving for three weeks and the Palmer family for two weeks. Why is that a problem? I had 3 of the LeBrun boys and 2 of the Palmers. My fifteen man roster became 10. Then, on top of that one of the other moms thought her little boy was getting too tired because we always practiced the day before a game. (Translation: mommy was getting tired of hauling him around). She wanted to just bring him to games. I told her if she did that he would be on the bench during the games. I was fourteen years old! What a jerk I was!!! 😂

No way BaBoone would allow a player to play in every game. Fine, lets call it 61 in 150 games. Maybe more like 40 in 100 games. You would have rest days, plus you have your day off after multi-hit games, days off after homering days, days off because there is going to be a day off tomorrow games. Days off because Boone thought he saw something, and day off because nature could call anytime... We will soil no Yankee uniform, unless the game is on the line in the ninth...

Twins are down 6-2 in the 8th. If that holds the Yankees will be 1 game behind in the loss column for the 4th seed. They have also cut the rays division lead to 4 GB.
