Although at the outset of the season we would not expected it, the Yankees will also be playing all 7 of the final games vs. playoff bound teams with a reason to play well, and same incentives to play well, yet prepare for the playoffs. We can be especially surprised to see the Marlins in that position... That is the thing they might not be able to rest people as both of their opponents are playoff teams and can still improve their seeding. Oh, they will rest people no matter what. That takes priority to them over winning the 4th seed. |

All of the rest days this team has had up to this point would logically have been imposed with the goal of having all hands on deck for this, the most critical portion of the season. If they are resting players now, I won’t be able to understand the logic behind it... |
