Montgomery needs good defense behind and he doesn't always get that with the Yanks. Neither does Tanaka. We always seem to make Tanaka get more than three outs in an inning at least two or three times per start. Last night was an extreme case of this. Tanaka didn't have his best stuff, but with better defense behind him, he still limits the Blue Jays to 1 or 2 runs. |

Do you really think they are better with Gardner in the game instead of Judge? Judge isn't playing because it was a planned day off for rest since he's coming off an injury. He has five hits and three walks in six games. It’s not like he’s been helpless, and he is the best right fielder in the American League. And, he always runs the count full, making pitchers work. 2 hits as chi pointed out in one game. 3 hits in five games is not very good and no home runs. He is a great player. He has not recovered yet. |
