The best is the end when the reporter asked Gio "Who got the championship belt?"

The best is the end when the reporter asked Gio "Who got the championship belt?" Taking another look at it, that play by Geo is even more impressive.

For at least one game, Gio Urshela became a baseball God. There is no better moment in a man’s life than that moment when he knows that everybody knows that he was the difference maker in a game of baseball. I doubt he’ll ever be in the Hall of Fame, but film of this game will surely belong there...

Taking another look at it, that play by Geo is even more impressive. Absolutely! Here’s my take on plays like that. I was never much of an infielder by my measure, but when I was in the outfield I would see all the scenarios before the ball was hit. I saw it hit short, long, left, right, over my head. I knew who was on base, had an idea of his speed and his penchant for risk. Of course I knew the hitters, too. That’s got to be what Gio did. He had already seen himself making that play. Probably even tried it out in practice. You can’t make that play if you burden yourself by thinking about it. It has to be instinctual. It was one thing I loved about the game...
