All things considered, a very good performance from Taillon. Most encouraging. Definitely talent there. And his mechanics look good. Yep. About as much as we could have hoped for. The Yanks have to feel good about it.

Nelson is going to be a mainstay in the pen.

Nelson is going to be a mainstay in the pen. He could be a future starter too.

7 hits and 2 walks but only 1 run for the Yanks.

Any guesses on the trivia question-- 400 homers without hitting 40 in a season. There have been five. All I can come up with is Stan Musial and Cal Ripken. So many guys at 400 now, it's hard to keep track.

How was your winter Pipps? Go on any vacations? Hi Sierchio. Yeah, my whole winter was a vacation!! Spent a couple of months in Florida (highly recommended-- isn't that where you are?) and then some time visiting friends and family in GA,SC abd NC. First time we ever pulled the snowbird routine. We're getting old!! Yes sir, I'm in Fort Myers now. Got my own apartment. Where in FL were you at?? The best thing I've done in my life is to come down here!!!

Hey Sierchio-- we spent about a month each in St. Augustine and Dunedin. Both great, although we preferred the Gulf side. Lots of day trips -- Cape Canaveral Space Center, Daytona International Speedway, the beautiful Sawgrass Golf Course in Ponte Vedra, St. Petersburg, Tampa, Sarasota, lots more.
We may head back next winter, but stay in maybe Coral Gables, Key West, Naples. If we're in Naples, I think that's in your neighborhood, we'll definitely get in touch.
We hated to leave, I'll tell you that. Every day was a good day!

Would lumbering be the appropriate adjective?

The Crime Dog...wearing that cap high on his head! You got two more Rizz. The other as you probably saw was Winfield, which I would not have guessed.
